cuban black beans

    • 2 (10 oz) cans of black beans
    • 1 large onion, chopped
    • 1 medium green bell pepper, chopped
    • 3 cloves garlic, peeled and minced
    • 1 tsp. cumin
    • 1 tsp. oregano
    • 1 tablespoon red white vinegar
    • 1 teaspoon white sugar
    • salt and pepper to taste
    saute onion and pepper in a little oil, then add the garlic and saute.. add the beans with the liquid.. add spices and simmer about an hour, add the vinegar just before serving
