throwback thursday easter oreo chick pops

today is throwback thursday.. and i am going to share with you these cute little oreo chicks just in time for easter.. they are so freaking cute and easy to make.. a little time consuming but so worth it.. the kids really had fun with these little guys!! dipped oreos are kind of an obsession for me.. i've made these oreo dipped snowmen.., i've made these spring oreo pops and these pirate oreo pops...

they are actually pretty simple to make.. i could not believe how cute they turned out..

open your oreos and place a white chocolate dipped lollipop stick in each one..

try not to eat 2 or 3 or most of the bag and have to go out and get another bag..not that i did that but i could see someone doing it!!

while your oreos are hardening begin to assemble the faces.. attach the eyes with melted candy.. using an extra lollipop stick dip your stick in the melted candy then smear a little on the back of the eyes and adhere to the "face".. use orange sprinkles for the beak.. the picture below shows only the top half of the beak i added another sprinkle below to complete it..

see up close i used white candy melts as my glue and you might ask why didn't i use yellow.. ummmmmmmmmm cause i didn't think of it until just now when i saw this photo!! *thunk on my forehead* seriously sometimes i am so dense ha ha ..

tell me these little guys aren't the cutest!! :)
